The cam specs are similiar to the MTI R1 cam,the cam and compression were kept mild because at the time I was having the motor built the car was my daily driver. The dyno sheets were posted somewhere on this site about six weeks ago, they were posted by tekhombre.

3520# race weight?

What else do you have in there? An anchor?

Even w/ all that weight, an awesome time/ mph!

What clutch is in it? Cartek?

Great time man! I'm building an iron 409 right now and my car is a PIG too. It's nice to get some idea of what's possible. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

What gear ratio and tire size are you running?

Any info you can share would be great!

Thanks,
Shane

I backed up the time with four ten second runs on Saturday at the GM EFI Shootout/Corvette Challenge,I went 10.87,10.89,10.89,10.97 at Raceway Park,it was good to get it in the tens again at a different track.

That's awesome to run 10's at a different track.

What rpm are you shifting at?

Shifting at 6500rpm's,The car is a real heavyweight,Saturday on Raceway Park's scale I weighed my car after I ran my friend Brent with his Cartek X-Package Z-06,he gave me a good race,I went 10.89 to his 11.25,he weighed 3240lbs w/driver,I weighed 3511 w/driver,with reserve fuel,a lightweight racing seat,no passenger seat,my two rear mufflers dropped,I still had two Dynomax bullets in the tunnel of the car, lightweight CCW drag rims.I spoke to Valvegod who told me the iron block was 100lbs heavier than an aluminum LS1,this combined with my 280lbs,and the new roll bar really weighs the car down,I need to find a 150lb driver who's driven a 10-sec manual trans car.I'm dying for Cartek to build an aluminum block 408-427 and drop it in a lightweight Z-06 and see what it does.

I like the iron block, I have a 422ci ARE motor in my car but I tip the scales at 3700-3740lbs raceweight...

I printed your slips, they are awesome!

Perhaps the iron block hataz will stand up and take note now.

I figured 75lbs for my iron block.
