Default Two Drag Strips, In Two States, In One Day!

Well, Let me say Thanks to everyone at Thunder Racing. They are the best racing people that I have ever delt with. Two Thumbs Up!

Ok, Now with my story. After Dynoing the Hod Rod most of Saturday. Trace, Jason,Justin and I took off for Eunice La. to run in a bracket race. Nothing like running four time trails and two rounds of racing with only a 104 miles on the new set up. Not much luck racing but had some great 60ft times 1.570,1.578,1.582,1.585,1.589,1.622 Et's ranging from 11.488 to 11.573 and all 6 runs
were over 119mph.

Well, Not happy with my driving(this new set up is way different then the old one) Trace and I thanked Jason and Justin for all their help and support. Then off to HRP to run the Hot Rod at what they call instant green(TNT with the lights going straight to green no yellows inbetween prestaged and the green light). I made five runs 60ft's ranging from 1.609 to 1.776 Et's from 11.609 to 11.347, MPH from 120.41 to 122.03.

The new best for the Hot Rod is 11.34et @ 122.03mph.

I think with more miles on the motor this week and myself getting use to the new pedal engagement, and not hitting the limiter on some of my shifts "She should fly this weekend". We will see

Congrats again Coach! I would definitely like to see you race here in LA again, maybe at a nicer track like No Problem Raceway. Once I get the cage, me and Jason may be up for a trip to HRP.

It was cool to see you pullin' the wheels on every run. You've got one helluva ride there.

You are a hardcore dragracer!

Later,
Justin

The car is moving. It seems you will be running in the ten's pretty soon with good weather. It appears that Thunderracing done a very outstanding job on your car. I notice your sixties were better in Eunice that at HRP, I thought it would have been reverse. Anyway, great car, great setup, and great times.

Coach, I'm glad you had a great time at Eunice. It is not like HRP, but it does hook very well. That is pretty hardcore to race at two tracks, in two states, all in one day.

Justin and I had fun watching and being the designated pit crew. LOL Next time, both of our cars will be racing (damn T56s ).

As for hitting the revlimiter on the 1-2 shift: We will bump the revlimiter to 7200 for you. With 4.56s, 1st gear winds up real quick and it's hard to shift quick enough after the shiftlight goes off.

Is the clutch engaging where you want it? I'll adjust it lower next time if you like.

Awesome times man, good to see you finally got the car back, and having fun with it. Looks like we will have to run our cars when I get my little NX kit hooked up

How far away are these track from each other?
Going from 119 to 122mph in one day is a pretty big difference even between tracks Was it the air? track prep, or were you getting used to the combo etc?
Great times BTW!
Chris

Chris,

About 3 1/2 hours from each other. Eunice La. had better track prep., but I think I was driving better at HRP. The reason, my 60ft. times and I was bouncing off the limiter in Eunice La.

We will see this week end. I have been relearning how to drive the Hot Rod this week.

Coach will have a lot of practice at one track this weekend, and I will be there to film his runs on sunday The funny thing is when I saw him today he was telling me how the car still isnt fast enough for what he wants lol
