Gathering Stock LS1 1/4 mile times for WRX Message Board.
I'm looking for 1/4 times from stock LS1s. Can you also give me your opinion of what the average might be? I'm trying to give this WRX message board a somewhat accurate picture of what we are running STOCK. From what I've been reading they are misinformed, but i could be wrong. Thanks
PS. I've got 2 more threads in different forums. Post your times in one thread only. Thanks

The less informed they are, the better it is for us.
Saw a guy in the 15's in one of them last summer. Before he ran, he told me that he had one of the few cars that could give me a good run. Oh well.

I never ran my Z28 (A4) totally bone stock but with only a lid and filter it ran a 13.20@107.
And just to keep things interesting you might want to refer to some of the well known, super quick times out there such as Evan Smith's 12.89 and 12.96s (nearly full tank, loaded SS on HOT/HUMID day) and the many others that have gone the incredible 12s BONE STOCK!

13.558@104.59 bone stock '98 WS6 with 2.3s 60' time, IIRC. Didn't even pull the spare tire or lower the tire pressures. I was a complete novice at dragging and still am, really.
Best MPH was 106.4 that day.

I ran 13.99 @ 103 w/ 700 miles on the clock and EVERY SINGLE THING on the car was 100% completely bone stock.
Those are way below average, however (or would it be above average?). My guess as to the average times bone stock (if you count all the crappy ones too, like mine was) would be around 13.6 or 13.7 @ 105-106.

Re: Gathering Stock LS1 1/4 mile times for WRX Message Board.
I have an argument for the WRX guy....
Yes there are some drivers that cant run low 13's in a stock car. There are WAy more ls1 owners in low 13's than WRX's willever be.
Tell him like this (i) or you or whoever is in your area that can drive, will get in any bonestock ls1 and crack his Subaru ***!! You can't win an argument with a guy on what other drivers can do.
That said I have a friend, handicapped with one leg, bone stock with line lock(for one leg) no other mods, not even lowered tire pressure in a anniv. SS fully optioned A4 runs 13.4's@105 all day, best is 13.3?
This guy probably weighs over 200#'s with one leg(kinda heavy set)
