Default Weights on Convo Pros with tires.

If anyone cares-
15x4 convo pro's w/DS-2's(40psi)- 22.5#each
15x8.5 convo pro's w/ Hoosier 26x9.5(14psi NO tubes) 31.5# each.

17x9 firehawk wheels w/ tires -51# each

108 for my drag wheels
204-208 for my 17x9's

I save about 100# when i strap them on (plus rolling resistance).
Which is pretty much what I thought.
BTW- pass. air bag is 13.5#(what a BITCH)!

just FYI. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Thanks for the weights! My pass side airbag seemed to be 16#, but I was using a bathroom scale. It's a hassle to take out, but once its out you never miss it.. . hopefully!

I hope you guys don't plan on taking any passengers. If you ever get into an accident and something happens you can probably get sued. Not to mention that your insurance company bases their rates on you having 2 functional airbags. They will also most likely be able to deny any medical payments that would result from an accident where your passenger got injured and the airbag would have deployed. Probably need to get a waiver before taking anybody in your car. Doesn't sound like much of a street car any more does it?

You run the same risk with any type of modification to a car, especially performance mods. I just did the !pass seat the same time as my !pass side airbag. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Good call Terry. Not all people realize the potential liability they are creating.

Nope,no passengers here.I keep the seat out all the time.
Most newer cars, you can disable the air bag W/a key anyway.
Air bags are for sissies <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> .
Do race cars have air bags?

I need to remove my airbags. Its not like GM airbags work anyway lol. I was in an accident where I was rearended at like 80 and then hit a tree head on as an effect after flipping the car in my daily driver. Neither Airbag went off and the car was totaled. My dad was alsoin an accident a year or so ago and was hit head on in his Chevy truck and neither airbag went off.

Not to flame anyway for there statements but I think removing them shouldn't hurt anything. Just put in a cage and some race harnesses <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> GM safety standards must really suck.

Yes you can disable the airbags on newer cars. But I bet you could be held negligent if you had an adult in the car and a disabled airbag. Not sure if an insurance company would persue it, but I could imagine the argument being made.

Draglites and pro stars are a little heavier.(a couple pounds I think)
that's what I've heard,but haven't weighed them myself.
