Sounds interesting, but this is the first I've heard of it...
The C5-R stuff is getting really interesting. Too bad I can't afford it

Ditto what George said. That stuff is killer in more ways than one. Mostly to the bank account.

I think he did the 9.52 run with his LPE Twin Turbo ZR1, ~800+ rwhp

Sounds like something that could be easily fit into the budget - Bill Gates' budget, maybe...

I assume you are referring to the 2000 red Z28 with the LPE C5R motor?
I think the owner sporadically posts over at www.viperclub.org as 'SNAKE EYES YOU LOSE!' check out his signature:

I'll email that guy and see if he registers and will about the car.

Yep that's him...I saw another sig that read 9.51 at 148 mph....I emailed him also.....that's blistering fast if it's truly NA...even if it is a custom C5R engine.

If this is the car I think you guys are talking about I seen it at LPE's shop a few months back around the begining of the year. I think the car is red, has a fabbed rearend, mini-tubbed, 427 C5R block and heads. All kinds of weight removed. Looked like they where setting it up to run twin throttle bodies. I think they mentioned that they where going to run the C5R intake as well. But I can't really remember. Car looked pretty bad *** sitting on jack-stands and after they showed me the tires that they where planing on running on the car. I knew that it was going to be one bad-*** car. And then they told me the combo that was going in it yeah it should run that number with no problems. I hope the owner registers over here and I hope that I'm talking about the right car as well.

Playdough - Yeah, I went up to LPE and saw it myself. Did you see the size of the that intake they were using?! Not to mention twin 100mm throttle boddies! Yeah, the mini-tubing work looked very expensive and extensive.

But is he happy that's what I wonder.
Where is Norm? I forwarded the link, and he did reply back.
Maybe he's busy shorting stocks.
Once he posts he can join the NA list!

Read up about 4 posts and you'll see that I found another post on the Vetteforum where it was 9.51 @ 148mph....both were on the forum.
