Corbeau Forza seat weight vs. stock
I got my Corbeau Forza seat in today.
Corbeau- 18#
bracket(adj. slider from corbeau)-8#
total- 26#
stock 01 power cloth seat-40#
Weight savings- 14#
This seat Kicks ***!
If you made your own stationary bracket, you could save more weight.
The seat is very comfortable, NOT molded plastic with a cover.
I was willing to sacrifice comfort for weight, but didn't have to.
I was very surprised.
I bought it from Speed Inc.
If they need to,they price match. But they are usually cheaper anyway.
Thanks again,Larry and Tom.
See you again soon!

Do the Forza seats come in different sizes, or is it one size fits all?

Forza is smaller than Forza II.Forza is PLENTY big for my 150lb ***!
I plan on being 3100 race weight soon. Then even lighter. Then systematically taking most of the titles
over the next year.
Goals,Baby,goals........ <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Yeah,I read that too.Oh well,14# to the good.
I was hopin' for 20, not 26.But I thought it would be more uncomfortable ,
I'm happy with the overall result. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I have Forza II's in my 98 that will be out soon. Haven't driven in them yet, but sitting in them after installing them in the car they seem pretty comfy.
If i had a digital I'd take some pics, but I think they look sweet in the car.

Just out of curiousity, do you sit lower in the car than the stock seats? The reason I ask is that with a helmut on my heads against the headliner. It would be a lot better if I didn't need to worry about that. Thanks

Re: Corbeau Forza seat weight vs. stock
Get a drill & go to town on the bracket. I bet you could loose a few more lbs. I believe that would be the same bracket that comes with the Carrera. I also thought they were a bit heavier than they needed to be. But if I was at the point where I was worried about the weight, then some drilling would be an easy way to loose a few lbs. Good luck.

Re: Corbeau Forza seat weight vs. stock
I've been toying with the idea of replacing my factory seats with something from Sparco, Corbeau, or Momo. I think they publish the weights of their seats on the manufacturers websites. It gives all the technical data. By the way how did you lose all that weight, I'm wanting to do the same. I've already put a plexiglass rear windshield in it. My Z28 is already pretty light, as it is a factory 1Le. It came stripped down, and the seats are the base seats that they put in the V6 models, so your *** really slides around in road racing situations.
