Re: Lightweight carpet pics
After looking at those pictures, that's the same carpet I bought for my car from Year One... All this time I thought LS1Speed had come up with some kind of custom made for them lightweight carpet, but it's just the lower-grade replacement stuff that everybody else sells (JC Whitney, Year One, etc...)
It is lightweight and does fit well, so don't think I'm knocking it or anything.
What does it cost from LS1Speed? It's $229 from Year One...

Re: Lightweight carpet pics
I forget the exact price George. I'm not at home to check my receipt, but its in that ballpark.
I went out on the web and check the actual manufacturers website. Judging from their website, it looks like I was shipped a "cut" version of the carpet.
I'm sure the guys at LS1speed will fix me up, just a bummer though.

Lightweight carpet pics
Just got the carpet in that I bought from LS1speed.
The carpet looks very good. Haven't had a chance to put it on a scale, but it is definately MUCH lighter than the factory carpet.
I am very dissapointed with one thing though. When I talked with them I ordered the UNCUT carpet, and from my discussion with the sales person it was my understanding this carpet would have NO precut holes of anykind.
It doesn't have any holes for the seat studs that I can see, but it definately has the HUGE holes for the shifter stuff. This is exactly what I DID NOT WANT! I now have an aftermarket shifter for my A3, and wanted to cover that whole area with the uncut carpet, and then use that shifters small billit aluminum cover.
So I'm not real happy at the moment <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />
In fact I got half a mind to put a selling price on the car, and everything associated with it, and walk away from this ****.
anyways for for those of you who have been asking about the carpet, I put some pics online so you could see what it is like.

don't sell the car! life would be boring without a LS1 to make faster!!!!!!!!!!! sometimes aftermarket stuff sucks, I guess that's why you gotta love sites like this, then you get from others what to and not to buy.
