Default thoughts on this setup...

98 SS A4
stock internals with basic bolt-ons
TP4400
12 bolt w/ a 4.30 gear
28/10.5/15 ET Drags
raceweight of 3550

Any guesses on how you guys think this setup will perform?

Sounds good to me. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

You might want to put in a cam with that big of a tire. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" />

Its definately not too much gear. I run 4.10's with 26's and thats more gear than 4.30's with 28's. I dont have a problem hooking a 26 inch full slick so I think its more efficient than trying to turn a 4.30 gear and much heavier tire. It would hook like crazy though with a 28. You would be about 250 rpms less than I would at 118 mph. So yes it will work but will cost you et over 4.10's and 26's IMO.
Edited for hooked on phonics.

My local track blows for track prep so I really like the idea of the 28's. And I might try shooting 50-75 shot since it's already on the car. I figure it would put me close to the same torque of a healthy h/c car. Hopefully the 28/4.30 combo will be a good compromise.
Thanks for the replies.
