Default Getting car setup for the track, got a few questions inside....

I recently added MTI S2 heads with 2.08/1.55 valves...

MTI X1 cam....230/227 .591/.571 112lsa...

I'm running a TH400 (standard 1st gear) with a brake and a 3500 nitrous converter which is tight as all hell...

A 12-bolt with 3.73's out back...

I'm running HAL's all around....(Eibach lowering springs in the rear)(still waiting on V8 springs)

Prostars all around....

Only weight reduction is.....No A/C, No backseats/seatbelts, No spare/jack....

Any guess on what my car might weight...I weigh 250 so add that to an empty car...
------------------------------------------------

My recent trip to the track last thursday I got 3 passes in....

#1

12.0@114 w/1.79 60ft....foot stalled to about 2500, then flashed it...20 lbs of pressure in the tires...front shocks at 3/3, rears at 4/4...

#2

12.0@114 w/1.75 60ft.....left off of a 1/2 brake, had 15 lbs of pressure in the tires....front and rear shocks the same settings...

Final Pass

11.8@115 w/1.69 60ft....left off of a full brake, had 15 lbs of pressure in the rears...front shocks 2/2....rear shocks 4/4....also opened cutout, but made less HP on the dyno with it open

--------------------------------------------------

On the last 2 passes I got the tire off the ground about a 1/2 foot...

The car seems to leave really hard off the line, but then falls on its face, then picks back up again....people are saying its the converter because its really tight...the car also SQUATS bad, from the vid I watched it looks like it squats the whole way down the track.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I am going to MIM this saturday at US41 and I'm going to see if I can take some more weight out of the car...

I'm hoping to hit 11.4's....

Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated...I'm hopefully going to borrow a friends A-tap to log some runs....

Do you have a swaybar on the rear of the car?

ok first the bog, yes the N20 converters are tighter than standard, so either swap to a normal one, or lauch at a higher RPM (only so far you can go with that one!) As for the squatting, thicker rear sway bar, air bag, stiffer spring/shock on the right....
