I agree that the 60 fts are incredible with my ST3500. I am using ET Drags now instead of the ET Streets. I think that the ST3500 puts the car right in the sweet spot of the "baby" cams power band. We do have pretty good track prep here at HRP, but the last runs of the night usually result in the lower 60fts , but my 1st and last passes were 1.49s. I was looking for a Yank 4400 , but I think I'm going to stick with this little street monster until I've pulled all the punches that I can come up with, especially since it's driven daily. Thanks for the kind words.

Default New best w/ MTI S2 heads and C1 cam-11.24 @120.10 mph

Well I promised several people that I would post my results, but I really wanted to wait until I had the car totally dialed in.

After being one of the many Comp cam 918 valve spring victims, Jayson at MTI contacted me and offered to help me get back on track (literally), especially since this is my wifes daily driver. We already had all the bolt ons and the C1 Hammer cam (112).Before the S2 heads,we had ran a best of 11.81 @ 114.30 mph , but I had never dyno'd the car. Jayson convinced me to allow MTI work their magic and let them install the heads, so I did. I have always done my own work, when at all possible, so I was a bit unsure of the decision until I picked it up. I went over the car with a fine tooth comb and it looked as though I had done it myself, from the fluid levels to the tie wrapping of connectors. They dyno'd the car at 408 rwhp and 392 lbs tq with a steady power curve. I wasn't all that impressed with the dyno#s after seeing posts of some H/C cars laying down 445/435 numbers , but I always use the track to determine mod effectiveness. After working with Jayson on the LS1edit tuning , I felt that we had it very close and track ready with the MAFT still inline for "good air" tweaking. On the first pass I got to run Larry (PAIN) and I got to hold the win for about a fraction of a second,(lol), and ended up with an 11.27 @ 119.45 before I turned the car over the the little lady. It was her turn to run the brackets and she was going to need a time trial. The DA started dropping a bit in our favor (700-800) and she ended up going out in the second round with a .496 redlight , but she was all smiles because she pulled our new best of 11.24 @ 120.0 mph. We also pulled a couple of new bests of 1.49 60 fts. We were very pleased to say the least.
The only weight reduction from the cam only runs was the front seat. We weighed in at 3485#s with me in it. I still have a little O2 tweaking to do as well as the addition of my Shaner S2 ported TB. With a little more tinkering and negative DA , I think some high high 10s or low low 11.00s are very possible. If she would have pulled my 60 fts on her run , she would have run a 11.20. So I am very optimistic. Not bad for a car she drives everyday to drop the kids off at school and to work huh? Boy I love these LS1s. Thanks again to Jayson and Mike @ MTI for an awesome job and great results. See ya at the Thunder Shoot-out!!!

Those are some BAD *** TIMES James. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> Im sure all your tweaking finally paid off. Now if you could only hook a brother up with your secrets. When the Yank comes out let me know, I just might have a Vig up for sale <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[hail]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_hail.gif" /> 1.49

I wish I could get my car on the track but im fighting some damn oiling problems. I have a feeling the oil pump is gonna come out and that might be the excuse to slip in a bigger cam.

Did you have all this stuff on the car (namely the heads) when we ran last month? If so, you must have had a $hitload of weight in the car that night. My car doesn't run anywhere close to those numbers on motor!

My car only traps in the 112-114 range on motor, so you've got quite a bit more on me. This little 2800 rpm converter kind of kills my ET At the track though, only see low 12s.

txcamss....iwould love to run you sometime being we make identical peak numbers on both hp and trq,it would be real fun but first i need to get a tune to remove my rev limiter.friday i was hitting it at the 1000ft mark and feathering the throttle through the traps and still ran 118mph.

nice running car you have there.

Sounds great Roger. I spend a good bit of time at the track. You can find me there most any Wednesday, Saturday and occasionally on Sunday instant green. We're not hard to spot. The NMB SS has checkered 35th stripes and usually has Weld draglites on it. What kind of times did you turn Friday? M6 or an A4? See ya there!
