Default Thunder Shootout VIDEO updated>>

To all who are interested, I have for sale copys of damn near every run made at the Thunder Shootout, I may of missed 1 or 2 runs in street stock auto when got a burger. The video includes the Ferarri club cars, some footage of Friday nights racing action, all of Saturday's Thunder Shootout racing, shots of the pits, staging lanes, etc..

Price for the videos ( VHS and CD ) is $20 shipped, that includes both. The VHS is approx. 2 hours long. The CD has all of the "good" races ( so far 112 races in high quality mpeg format ).

I think the price is fair, like I said I have a lot of money in this ( $250 in DV tapes and batterys, at least $100 in VHS tapes ), and I am paying $5 a copy to have them copied, packing material and shipping costs, blank CDs and cases. Believe it or not I'm really not profiting form this unless a sell a TON.

Please E-mail me @ shootout@fryrice.com if you definitely want to buy a copy.

Methods of payment:
Money Order
Paypal
Cash

My Address:
Justin Sears
107 Abingdon Way
Hammond, LA 70401

Paypal email: jsears8@hotmail.com

Be sure to include you shipping address along with your payment.

VERY IMPORTANT: This is a time consuming process and I will not have a sufficient amount of copys unitl ealy next week. I will notify you when your shipment has been processed.

Thanks,
Justin

PS: Forgot to mention it was nice to meet a ton of people in person. Tony, PSJ, Greg, PaiN, Larry and the gang from Speed inc, Joe K., Vince, MattG and everyone else..

Justin

LOL, some good footage on there too I bet ....

1.) Pain almost flipping over
2.) two cars, side-by-side breaking during their burnouts
3.) SAM and another car both leaving before the lights go off
4.) and some 9 second passes from LS1 cars

It was great to finally meet you Justin!

I would be interested in a tape. We filmed alot, but missed alot of the runs as well.

I'd really like to get a digital copy of that video of my car..if at all possible. I could send you a cd, and a return envelope or if you could convert it and put it online where I could download it. whatever is easier for you.

Tim, if I gave YOU a free copy then I should give everyone a free copy.

java, very good footage! Wish we could of been running too. The 2 6speeds breaking off the line is sad but funny.

Larry, it was very good to meet you also! I am sorry you did not get to run Saturday but you put on a show. I did not get your wheelie on tape but Gordon did and I am picking up the tapes from him tomorrow, they are also on mini DV. When I get it I will convert it and send you a link.

Justin

I've seen that happen twice in the class I run in, and have almost done it myself! If the other guy anticipate a Pro Tree (cause he is at a performance disadvantage), and leaves way too early, it is very easy for the OTHER driver to see that movement, and do the same thing. The result? Both cars are DQ'd. Ouch!

That almost happened to me at a race in 01....guy took a shot at the light, left before the tree was activated, I saw movement, and instinctively launched too. I ended up "winning" with a .1xx red light. I won because he actually left before the tree came down. That was quite the learning experience. : )

Oh...not trying to hijack ya'lls post...just saw something that struck a cord with me.

BTW....how was the turnout? A predecessor of good things to come?

I think Thunder put on a good event and hopefully they will want to do it again next year.

I would love to just give it away but aside from the hours I spent shooting video, I spent $185 on batterys, $60 on DV tapes + the time it will take to edit/copy it.

It gives the people who couldn't attend the shootout the oppurtunity to see it. There are some VERY good races that happened!

I am offering on VHS b/c it would be to large to fit on a reasonable number of CDs and I do not have a DVD burner.

I want em...

Also, depending on what kind of tapes you use, you should be able to fit it all on two to three tapes (maybe four).

PS I'd pay double if you were able to offer the footage on DVD (preferably in an edited* form).

EDIT: Nevermind, I just saw your latest post and read that you dont have a DVD burner. My bad.

I think I'm the only one who got Larrys wheelstand on video.
I'm going to try to get it converted to a mpeg then get it posted later this evening. Hang in there everyone.

I didn't realize the cost. I think you could just just put it on a website and set up a payapal account for donations. Should get yourself paid back. People do that with software they write all the time.
