Default 28" x 10.5" x 15" ET Drag.....use 15" x 8" Welds or 15" x 10"?

What would be the pros and cons of using these two different widths? I used this tire on an 8"-wide wheel last weekend and it hooked fairly well. Please give input! Thanks.

I would go with the 15x10 rim. I'm running that exact rim/tire setup right now. I think if you go with a 15x8 with the 10.5" tire, your going to get to much bow on the tire.

Definitely the 15" x 10" wheels.

well considering your contact patch could be a full 10" or just 8" with an 8" wide wheel....i think it is an easy decision. esp knowing your style, you want to go all out. go with the 15x10"

I've run both wheels. DEFINITELY go with 10s. Otherwise the slicks wear out in the center and you give up about 35% of your possible contact patch.

Hey Rageman

How about going with the mt et drag 28 by 9s and the 8" rim. Probably be enough grip with stock motor with less weight and rolling resistance.

I have 28x10.5x15 slicks on 15x10's. Have gone 1.45 on these.

I had 28x9x15 ET Drags on 15x8 and they worked great.

The 28" x 9" x 15" ET Drags aren't tall enough to let me finish the ¼-mile in 4th gear, I don't think.

Is there anything required to fit these tires on a stock suspension car. I just scored a free set of new 28" ET Drags. I plan on using the 15X10 prostars.
