Default Sorry for the delay...here it is...11.1412 @ 122.28 (1.5604)

Sorry for the delay, guys, my ISP has been giving me fits. Gotta use this gay dialup mess on my mommy's computer. Anyway, here's the timeslip on the best ET pass...

R/T: 0.8727 (I need a 2-step)
60': 1.5604
330': 4.5881
1/8-mile ET: 7.1473
1/8-mile MPH: 96.35
¼-mile ET: 11.1412
¼-mile MPH: 122.28

Now, here's the slip on the best trap speed pass...

R/T: 1.0761 (did I mention I needed a 2-step? )
60': 1.5415
330': 4.6027
1/8-mile ET: 7.1751
1/8-mile MPH: 96.03
¼-mile ET: 11.1811
¼-mile MPH: 124.00

And here's the slip on the best 60' pass...

R/T: 0.9291 (TWO-STEP)
60': 1.5205
330': 4.8833 (missed 2nd gear, will explain later )
1/8-mile ET: 7.6564 (let off in 3rd gear)
1/8-mile MPH: 84.34
¼-mile ET: 13.2294
¼-mile MPH: 77.72

All runs made at Temple Academy Dragway in Little River Academy, TX on Saturday, March 8th, 2003. Raceweight was around 3350 lbs. The density altitude at the time of my best ET pass (within 20 minutes or so) was 843 feet. The DA at the time of my best trap speed pass (again, within a few minutes) was 1079 feet. Why all the inconsistencies, you ask? Two words. SHIFT POINTS. I need a shift-light. Still running the factory tach with no light. Needless to say, shifting at the same RPM in each gear each time is quite difficult (especially on the 1-2 when you're shifting right at the 60' marker and the revs are flying up there QUICK). In fact, that's the reason I couldn't capitalize on not one, but TWO 1.52X 60's was because first gear is so short, it tagged the rev limiter before the signal from my brain reached my feet/right hand to shift the car into 2nd. My trap speeds ranged from mid 121's to the aforementioned 124.00. Another thing, my launches were a little inconsistent. I think this was due to two things: one being the fact that I don't really ever have time to verify my launch RPM before the tree goes down, and another being severe chassis flex. I'm still not running a roll cage, and not even so much as a pair of SFC's. Only suspension mods are a removed front swaybar and polyurethane bushings in the rear lower control arms, torque arm, and tranny mount. Changes since the 11.59 internally-stock are the AWESOME (cannot possibly say that enough, in all honesty and fairness) G5X-2 cam, supporting valvetrain, and dyno tuning from LG Motorsports, the RAM 910 clutch setup (I soiled my pants after my VERY FIRST 60' on the new setup was 1.57, had to wear diapers the remainder of the evening), and a 50-lb. or so weight decrease. If there's enough demand for a mod list, I'll search for the most recent post I've made that has the mod list in it. Video of the 11.18 @ 124 (1.54) is stored away somewhere in Nitin's (WS6luvr) possession. He vows to get it ripped pretty soon. With some more practice and consistency via some electronics and suspension/chassis mods and with some better weather, 10's are VERY possible. I'm also planning on upgrading to an LS6 MAF, doing a little more touching up on my throttle body, replacing my cracked lid with a new TSP one (I noticed that my lid was physically separated from the MAF after the 11.14), swapping to more high-flowing headers, and possibly running open headers, getting some suspension and a chromoly driveshaft, and throwing in a tubular K-member, A-arm assembly with a manual steering rack, solid motor mounts, and a welded 6-pt. chromoly cage at SOME point in the future (whenever I actually come across some money). Good Lord, I'm tired. Please post up with any questions you may have and I'll do my best to get my ace on here and reply. In closing, I want to say that this setup rocks ice, and I'm really happy I made the choice to gradjeeate from the N/A stock-internal world. Hey, I wonder what a 150-shot of TNT would do with this big, wide normal split cam?!?! My eyes are, unfortunately, MUCH bigger than my wallet.

Take care, everyone.

Alan

Congratulations dude! I'll admit that I'm rather disappointed that I won't get a chance to go head-to-head with you in a "bolt-on" race, but I do wish you the best of luck with your new goals.

Congrats Allen, Your times rock for sure.

Hell, you ran mid 1.5's 60fts, 7 teens in the 1/8th and 11.teens in the 1/4 at Temple. That is what I ran last year at the same track. At the same time of the year. Very cool stuff.

I know all about shifting into 2nd gear at the 60ft and needing a shift light. The 2 step is a whole different thing.

Practice is the key to cutting a good ligts and hitting your shift point at the same time.

Congrats again. That truly ROCKS!

Coach

Rage: big congrats man! Im lovin this stuff

Fine tuning the car to get about ALLL she can get stock, then dropping a cam in and tuning that all out, then maybe doing heads and going for mid 10's!! Thats the way to go

Totally awesome again man... keep it up and good luck on the 10's cam only

Nice runs Rageman! It should only get better from here.

I can't believe your track lets you make several low 11 second passes. It must be the Dr. Nick Riviera of Tracks. NPR told me to 'get the hell out' when I went an 11.16 without a rollbar.

At any rate your setup is rolling! Congrats

jfm, thanks for the compliment, bud. There is only one thing I know how to do well, and it's getting good times out of my car at the track. That's the only thing, though. Dude, you will NOT be disappointed with this cam. Congrats on your decision!!

Nitin, you gayrod, send 'em to Louis!! He's all ready to host. Oh, and we were cruising at 150 on Hwy. 6... I was on skinnies, after all, and you remember what happened to Jason (Sally).

Bob, I have been avoiding responding to you because I'm so ashamed of myself. I was so skeered to lose to you at the bolt-on shootout that I had to get more power. Dude, I'm really sorry, but I came across an AWESOME deal and couldn't resist. I still look forward to meeting you, and keep up the good work!!! Oh, and don't worry, you're still one of my role models (well, for a Ford guy, at least).

Coach, thanks for the kind words. When do you plan on hitting up TAD again? You gonna be ready for the Shootout Apr. 6th? I will be getting a 2-step and a shift-light by the time the Shootout rolls around. Definitely gotta get some more seat time in there.

Tim, thanks, bud.

Mike, funny story...after my very first pass was an 11.23, the tech guy walks up to my car, takes a look inside, and says, "What did you just run?" At this point, I was kinda nervous. "11.23," says I. He says, "Well at 10.99 and quicker, you might wanna start thinking about getting a cage in there, for safety reasons." And I said, "I plan on it, thank you, sir." They never gave me any more problems. TAD ROCKS!!!

niphilli, thanks, pal!

Louis, hurry and get those videos from Nitin. Kick him in the *****!

Alan, BADASS! The times will only get better.

I would put SFC on the car ASAP, don't be stupid like me and twist your car up.

Is the car still in theft recovery trim ( 1 seat,no carpet, no panels etc..)?

Congrats

Justin

Allen,

I will be at TAD in two weeks for a $2,500.00 bracket race.

I will be ready for the SBSO. I have a feeling we will be flying. Maybe we can set a new M6 Hydralic H/C ET record.

Good Luck.

Boy ....Alan is all full of excuses.
Seriously- I still can't believe how
awesome that time is.
We like to throw around words like -
running 10's 'cam only'.
It just occurred to me how amazing that
actually is/would be.
11.1x@124 with bolt-ons and a cam,
not too light, either with a six speed.
I am truly in awe.
...but you KNOW I'm comin' for ya.

Where were you trying to shift at? 7k?

Congratulations on shattering the M6'cam only' record!
Truly amazing.

Phil, with the factory tach, in all honesty, I couldn't tell you where I was shifting at. But, I was TRYING to shift around 6500, since my setup's horsepower peaks around 6400.

John, thanks and no problem!!

Justin, thanks, man. Yeah, I need SFC's, but I'm trying to wait on a roll cage to fall down out of heaven into my lap. I am kinda worried about my frame. I need to do something quick, but I have no dinero. I really want to go down to HRP and tear it up down there, but they'll kick me to the curb QUICK with no cage. Been there, done that. The car is NOT in theft recovery mode. It's in Shootout mode. 2 front seats, carpet, speakers, speaker panels, door panels, console, glovebox, it's all there.

Sean, it'll be good to keep up the competition with ya, bud. Gotta love it. GET THE X-2 CAM!!!

Chris, Warren, bspz28, thanks!

Stay tuned for videos, everyone!!!!
