Good night at the track last night! Video inside...
I had a blast last night! I found a little problem with a rocker arm, and wanted to see if the car would pick up a tad from what it's been running so far this spring...
I managed to click off three 10.09 passes @ ~132mph in a row, and I think I've got all the chassis bugs worked out of the car for now. The DA calculates to around +600ft. last night, which isn't too bad for springtime in Florida.
The new tires (29.5x10.5 ET Drags) don't seem to like as much pressure as my old 28x10.5's did. I seem to have found the best results @ ~12psi or so, rather than the 15psi I used to run.
Anyway, I have one video from last night up on my website under the "Multimedia" section, or you can just click this link to go directly to the video (~1mb file).

Nice video George. That wheelie is just about perfect. You need to go back to the glide to carry the wheelie a little further.
I wonder if the car liking lower air pressure is due to lowering the tire height.

Nice times considering the weather. Looks like the rebuild is doing good, other than the diaper.

Once everything is absolutely 100%, I may lean on it a little harder. I still think there is some untapped potential in a few places here and there...
Dug: The new tires are bigger (29.9" tall)... Usually a bigger tire requires less pressure, which is what I'm finding in this case...

Nice runs! Going to do anything to speed it up?
Tom: Hows it going? When does that new setup go in? I can't wait to hear about it.

Terry, I don't know that I'll really try to pick it up any more right now, as tracks around here are pretty strict, and I don't have the safety stuff for 9's (chassis cert, license, etc...)
JS12: I went to the 29.5 (measures 29.9") to try and help traction, and effectively take away some gear to get my finish line RPM down a little (both goals were accomplished).

Looks good!!!! Can't wait to see what you do with a good engine.
I don't think it'll run any better from fixing the oil leak...
