head and cam car,4000tci with 26 mickey thompson radials,323 gears
im not sure how to word this best but last night on my first pass i cut a 1.54 60ft leaving at 2100,next pass i went up on the converter and spun the tires to a 1.60 do i need a true slick i only have the stock 323 gears,im very happy with the car just wondering if i need a true slick tire with stock gears.

I ran 26x11.5-15 ET Streets with the stock 10-bolt w/3.23`s and a TCI 4400 last season. I could never hook the car and my best 60` was like a 1.62. I blame most of that on track prep though. With the stock suspension I honestly believe my 4400 was just too much for those Et Streets. It hits like a beast! I never really aired them down though or did major burn outs in fear of breaking the 10-bolt. I don`t have those worries this year!
