Default Spohn tq arm???

Can this thing handle some 6 speed clutch dumps with 60fts in the 1.5x range? I a little worried about the way it bolts to the floor.

I believe Harlan runs one. If its living up to 8 second passes Im sure it will be fine for pretty much anything.

I wonder if he has re-inforced around the floor pan?

if you just inspect the bolts periodically i dont see it as an issue.

if all you are looking for is 1.5 60' on a 6 speed you are fine. a stocker can take that for a while.

And gator's right, I cut a 1.53 on my stock tq arm. But my 9" stopped breaking after switching to the Spohn.

It bolts to the X mbr mounting points which were designed to be structural unlike some of those traction bars that bolt to the trans tunnel sheet metal with like 8 bolts or whatever. I have one and I cant imagine how any bolt in off the shelf could be any beefier.

Harlan has run one that's been exercised well.

I've cut 1.4x with a soft converter and a 3,850lbs car. We'll be looking for harder launches on the new combo when the suspension gets dialed in here in the near future.

The only time you will see any downward force on the mounting bolts is when you are braking. Under severe acceleration the torque arm is actually lifting the car. Put it to the floor side-step the clutch and don't worry about it.
