on a bolt-on car I imagine your time could be well spent in other areas other than driveshaft replacement. you don't see a lot of guys running to change theirs out before they do cams and the like (unless you are dead set on not doing anything internal).

i could not speculate on the e.t. gains however. i'll leave that to someone else.

unless you have a stripper car you already have an aluminum driveshaft.

Stripper = No options. In other words a "stripper" is a car that is stripped.

My car originally had a Steel D/S, I got a Aluminum D/S from the junkyard, Replaced the U-joints & removed the balancer. Had the the hole D/S balance. I dropped 9lbs. That's rotating weight. How much did it help? Not sure, but it adds up. My best SI time was 8.0 in the 1/8mile.

I would do it, You should be able to pick one up cheep.

not true, if you have 2.73 gears from the factory, you have a steel driveshaft

If you guys ever saw an aluminun DS let go, you would wish you had steel. I've got a Denny's Nitrous with a Lakewood loop, and peace of mind.
