Default my updated MT DR report

my car 60' mid 1.5s with the 275/50/15 tires at 15 psi.
I have driven them on the street 700 miles...18 passes and they are now worn down exactly to the wear bars. Just thought I'd let you guys know my wear results. I do some nice burnouts too.

Holy crap....

That is not long at all....Sounds like they work though. They seem to be consistant ?

Thanks for the info !

Did you need to screw the tires to the rims ? I had to screw my 16" et streets to the rims. Now I am waitiing for my 15" bogarts, and am not sure what tire to put on. I need some sort of DOT tire.

Thats what scares me about the M/T drag radials, I like the big burnouts, thats a smoke signal to my wife its me and up the the video camera

I have cut 1.51x on a decent track with these 11.5x28 ET streets, I have about 40 passes with killer burnouts and about 2000 street miles on them and they are just getting to the wear bar on the center groove. If I did tiny burnouts these things would last a couple years. I can burn down a set of BFGs in two track outings and thats what has kept me away from the M/T radials. Thanks for the info..

I drive to Lebenon Valley Dragway in NY.

Its either use them track only, or drive 100 miles there and 100 miles back and expect maybe to use them 15-25 times (passes). Sometimes thats my average times I get to run in a season.

Nittos are about double that. You do heavy enough of burnouts you eat them up just the same.

****, Mine may have 400 miles on them and less than 10 track passes and they are wore past the tread bar.

I have found that the MT dragradials work just as good doing a 5sec burnout as an 8-9sec one. Thats on an 11sec car, might not work as good for a 10 or 9sec 800hp car.

So far they've been pretty consistant with the 5-7sec burns with 1.55-1.6 60's at 14lbs. Over 800 miles on the road and 20 - 10.x passes and tread to spare.

The only difference is I'm running the 325x50x15s. The stability at the top end on 14lbs and +137mph is certainly nice too.

I have found them to be totally stable and I really like that. maybe I'll go snap a pic in a few. On MY car, if track prep is spotty, so are my 60' times...where slicks would hook but mine doesnt do a lot out of the hole so it may be different for others. I bought them just to enter a DR class at a local shootout. They are heavier though than slicks. I am guessing 15# for the 2 since my car went from 3805# to 3820# with no changes other than slicks to DRs. Regardless, I am very pleased with them and will prolly replace them with the same tire when they are gone so I CAN drive home on them if I want to.
