If you are talking about the the traction action bars, they have been out for a few years. I know a few guys tried these to eliminate the torque arm and they completly destroyed the bars.

I don;t think you run these with the intension of eliminating the torque arm.
These are LCA's with the adjustable link to preload the chassis either left side or right side, without haveing to use a airbag on the RHS.

The Lakewood "Lift Bars" work very well with a stock torque arm. I had them on my Firebird. The sixty foot times were in the low 1.4's. When I removed the I found some cracks in the brackets, but I think that may be due to the brackets moving around. I am planning to test a new set. This time I will tack weld the brackets.

If we are talking about the lakewood lift bars they are not new. I had mine 5 years ago. Never got to take them to the track. The link attachement tabs broke at the weld daily driving within a few hundred miles. I'm surprised they still sell these. No lawsuits yet? Many people back in the day at camaroz28.com bought and broke them. Lakewood is pathetic.

Thats weird I've had mine on for over two years now. Over half that was daily driving time. They work great for me. I had a four speed in the car with M/T drag radials. I would dead hook dumping the clutch at 6500 on a 100 shot out of the hole. Went 6.70 in 8th pulling the front left off ground by about 4 inches. Added automatic recently, 1st time out car went 6.59 spinning with same 100shot. Have not had chance to get back since I had car scaled. Just my two cents but they work good for me.

What 60ft 82Z28? I broke the brass looking part, I forget it's been like six years. I broke the shock mounting tab I think. These bars are trying to copy the PeteZ bars. I would consider the PeteZ bars but not the Lakewood bars, too fragile.

just purchased the lakewood traction bars and i dont understand how they break on the shock mounting tabs for the fact that isnt the only place that it is fastened to the rear. but i cant even install mine untill i figure out some new bracket situation. i have a moser 9 inch and they wont line up with the holes in the housing becuase the 9 has larger axle tubes. anyone have an idea of what to do.

Because they completely Bind up the suspenion. PSJ and I got ours about the same time(99 or so) and I damn near wrecked my car because of them.
There are MUCH beter options out there to waste your hard erned cash on that crap.

Lakewood traction action bars = car will have super stiff ride (like the ladder bars on my old 68 Chevelle SS), won't hook any better, and eventually you will break the locator tab that sandwichs in between the shock and the rear end. Waste of money.
