How much you really think you saved by doing some of that swiss cheesing? What about removing the rear seat brackets, how heavy were those?

I still have all the brackets inside my car.

this might be him. hptuners sponser Magnus

I'll have some shots and details up in a month or so of my '99 T/A @ just under 2400 wet. I'm a solid 200lbs, which puts this one up @ 2600 all geared-up. There's another 100or so lbs left, but it's a very expensive 100lbs. Should be complete this yr.

they are cutting out all braces and removing all wiring thats not needed I have removed about 350 # from my car so far and still see lots more but I like have most of my factory options ,mosoon, keyless ,heater box,etc..just do a search or read thru the weight reduction list and you will see some of the stuff that can be taken out or replaced with light weight stuff

Isn't Rodney's(think's that's his name, the guy from HArdcore motorsports..) car like full carbon fiber... I recall talking to him at the detroit WOW and the guy said they pretty much replaced everything they could with carbon fiber...

There has to be cars out there lighter then magnus....

Then again, a lot of $$$ always helps...

I thought my car was light at 2800 lbs without me in it I do have Aerospace front and rears on order and a VFN hatch with lexan would help out also.

Mines at about 2750 lb right now. BUT this car is a DAILY DRIVER! i'm going to get it to about 2650 and still keep it as a daily driver. i still have to swiss cheese my two race seats, switch my TQ arm, k member, front A arms to Chromoly, get rear race brakes, do some more cutting to the car, pin on hood.
I don't think i'll ever do a pin on hatch, lexan glass.

I've seen Jugger's and Magnus' cars many times... Jugger has Lexan windows front and back... I can see him maybe finding another 50 lbs here and there but I think he's close to the limit without doing CF body panels.... What do you think Juggz?

Dragaholics car weighs 2850 with him in it. The only lightweight body panel is a fiberglass VFN hood. All factory glass, complete tubular suspension, Strange brakes all the way around, stock carpet, and a complete wiring harness. VERY clean car.

PSJ- I could probaly pull another 100# (2520 empty) if I went with a glide,C/F driveshaft, lightened 12 bolt, no inner tubes, fuel cell, cut the trunk out.

I scratch my head when people say 2400 empty.
