Default weld in vs. bolt in cage

is a weld in worth the labor cost (since i cant weld)?

You do mean roll bar right? there isn't a bolt in cage.
i say do it right do it once. weld in chromoly. Its lighter than bolt in. and its legal. for a bolt in to be legal i believe the rear bars have to be welded to the hoop anyways. But i've never seen anyone get hassled by tech about that.

yes thats what i meant. my plans are: midsize cam and 150 shot through a built t-56, not too hardcore probably low 11's i just want to keep myself safe

weld it. a bolt-in cage is a joke. they flex with the car and you don't want flex, you want it to be rigid so you can tune it

true. i know the same is true for sfc's and i figured it applied here, just wanted to know. and yeah i definatly want the rigidity

Another vote for weld-in. The stiffness and safety are the main factors here.
