Default B.S. question for narrowed rearend

I'm going to have my Moser 12 bolt narrowed 2.5"-3" on each side depending on what the fab shop recommends. My Weld Magnums (15x10 5"b.s.) came in for the rear but I wish they had a bigger lip. Has any one run a 4" b.s. with these wheels since they don't seem to make them in 1/2" increments?

Thanks

Yeah I called them already and they said they don't make them in half inch increments. Just wanted to see if anyone else was running a 4 inch b.s. my car is minitubbed but I don't know if I would have problems with the tire rubbing else where.

Just get the 4" bs and adjust the rear housing width accordingly or maybe I'm not understanding your question.

For the most part people that I have seen on here that have narrowed their rears are usually 3" on each side and they run a 5" b.s. I just received my new rears with a 5" b.s. but it isn't as a big of a lip as I want. Can I order a 4" b.s. with the rearend narrowed 3" on each side or should I have it cut more than 3" on each side?

With my car, I narrowed the rear 3" per side, and run a 15x10 5"BS, it sits the tires in about .50-.75 " in farther than stock, so if you would run it on a 4" BS it would stick the tires out .25-.50 farther than stock

if you want more "lip" it will require less backspacing. you either need to narrow the rear MORE or live with a tire that sticks out (nasty).

if you want a 4" BS then you need 3.5-4" narrowed on each side IMO.

I agree. I think I will just have them narrow it more than 3".

let us know how that works out with fitment. everyone always talks about the relocating of the LCA's like the ARE crew did back in the day, with anything more than 3"

i believe anything in the 3" area will require only an offset bushing on the LCA. more than that and i am not sure where you mount the lca. it will also take you out of stock suspension status AFAIK

I want a lip similar to this.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...hlight=wormboy

Now I know Wormie has to be running a b.s. way less than 5".
