Default Am I legal now?

Just need to check to see if theres anything else I need to be track legal to run probably high 12s at US41

-I just bought a helmet - it is Snell-M2000
-I just put in my BMR DSL

My battery is a little loose, is there anything I can do to tighten it down that will be track legal short of buying a new battery tray?

Yes I have the factory hold down but one side of it is broken off so it wont hold the battery correctly.

I know it can't move too much but last time I was there they mentioned it to me that the battery was loose and they shouldn't let me run that way but they did anyway, and I have heard that 41 has gotten alot more strict since last year since they are IHRA now

that's crazy if your tech is that bad out there. i have gone to the track and run 7.20s (1/8th) with slicks and no driveshaft loop, just a 6pt cage and no helmet or jacket. you should be fine to go 12s though with your loop and helmet.

They let you run 7.2's with no helmet and a cage?

Put a helmet on that's dangerous!

i only did it once, i went to the track and didn't know what it would run. i figured it would be 7.80s or so and it went 7.20s all night long. i did have a 6pt in there but i didn't have the helmet. now i have a wolfe 10pt and through the floor sfcs, etc etc...

All the safety rules are for your protection. They were not made just to give you a hard time.
Fix your battery hold down and you should be legal AND safe.

they are actually pretty chill at 41 he just asked is i had a loop only because i was running slicks, they probably will only check the battery and helmet, i would get that battery fixed because another member that was at the track with me had a lose battery and it actually rocked back when he took off and both terminal hit the body and arched, luckliy everything was okay and he fixed it imediately...just something that could happen with a loose battery

anyone know the part # for that battery tray? I might as well just get it fixed now while I'm throwing money at it anyway....
