First time at track with new setup
Ok guys here's some back ground: Car is a M6 with 4.11 spool 12 bolt. Cam only (F13).
Last November I went to a track rental. At that time I had stock shocks and springs and torque arm. Global west LCA's and relocation brackets set in the middle hole. Tires were 315/35/17 Nitto drag radials. Car ran on average low to mid 1.8's 60' with one 1.79 thrown in there.
Now the car has QA1 12 ways all the way around with 275 lb springs on the front and stock on the back (car also has about 100 lbs off the nose, tubular K-memeber, etc...but that was present at the Nov track rental also) and MT ET street radials in a 255/60/16. I had the front shocks set on 2 and the backs set on 5.
At the track rental on 4/14/06 with all this new stuff, I was averaging the same 60's, mid to low 1.8's. The best being a 1.82.
The car hooked once, the very first run of the day and pulled the fronts off the ground (245/50/16's!) but never hooked that good again to whole day. I was spinning the MT's some times off the line and some times on the 1-2 shift. I played with tire pressure a bit to try get it to hook to no avail. I didn't touch the shocks the whole day because I was under the impression that you mess with the simple stuff first and then make more complicated adjustments later if the simple ones don't help. Then the rain moved in and I couldn't run any more.
Any body got any suggestions on a baseline set up with what I have? Mine was a wild *** guess and I guess it was as good as stock but I didn't buy all these expexnsive parts to be as good as stock.
PS: Yes I know drag racing a M6 has already handicapped me in the 60' department. I just want some consistant solid 1.7's 60's.

Im not sure on the shock settings because I have never dealt with them before, but I would try lowering your LCAs to the lowest hole on the brackets, did you play around with tire pressure at all? Is the car just spinning, or is the suspension unloading after the launch?

I played with tire pressure a bit but it didn't seem to help at all. I started at 20 psi cold and then dropped to 17 psi cold and that was all the adjustments I did as far as tire pressure goes. Looking at the video of the best run of the day, it is spinning off the line and the suspension isn't unloaded.

I would try stiffening the front shocks a little bit.. Maybe try 3-5 clicks up front and 4-7 clicks in the rear.. Lower the contorl arms down to the lowest hole in the brackets.. (assuming you have relocation brackets) And lower the tire pressure to 13-15lbs.. Have you removed the front swaybar?
You really need to get a 15in wheel with some 275/60's out back.. That should do the trick..
