Why everyone hate the trans mount? I have no issues with mine.

Poly motor mounts - most definitely yes!!! DO IT.

Poly tranny - The jury is still out. I hated it at first b/c of all the extra noise and vibration (listed in that order for a reason). Now that I have about 600 miles on it I am contemplating keeping it as it has loosened up some but not enough to make up my mind. Honestly I will probably end up with another rubber one. The positive side is that the power it PUT DOWN to the ground

Pay special attention to the comments people give you about it b/c not everyone has all three mounts installed.

In short, I would not recommend it but if you would like to try it I will sell you mine.

Well all I have is the poly tranny mount for now. I guess it is louder and does vibrate and rattle stuff more, but I listen to my music real loud so I dont really realize it until I drive around with the music off. So it doesnt really bother me much until my music is off then it is kind of annoying. The combination of that and my loud exhaust make it kind of diificult to talk in my car. Would I do it again, yes and im planning on solid mounts when i do headers, but if you dont like lots of noises and everything its not for you.

with the trans mount..... i put one on my old s10 (350/350) and i took it off 1/2 mile later because of the vibration.

i broke the stock trans mount on my car, so i slapped on a poly that i had laying around for it. it didn't make it a mile, i didn't get any extra noise...just a LOT of vibrations.

a friends car (m6, heads & cam ls1) has a poly transmount and stock motor mounts, i never knew it had it on there untill i "borrowed" his trans crossmember.

another friends/customers car (408, a4) had poly motor mounts, we put the poly transmount on it and it came off after the first test drive because of the vibrations.

and yes, i checked the pinion angle on 2 of them. i think its more of a hit or miss with the poly trans mount. i just bought a new stock one and a spohn body mounted t/a, wouldn't do it any other way again.

Poly tranny mount....flung that bastard as far as I could after about 800mi, replaced with a stocker and all is good again.

I checked and rechecked my pinion angle, replaced my u joints and almost had the driveshaft rebalanced because of the damn hell the poly tranny mount brought into my world.

Car vibrated and was damn noisy with that mount installed...never again.

When I had an auto and put in the poly tranny mount, the vibrations were so bad I ordered a gm mount the second I got back from the 1st drive. Now I have a poly mount in with the 6-speed, and it doesn't vibrate anymore than the stocker.

I've used both and never thought they were bad. I barely noticed a difference. Solid motor mounts, on the other hand, can get to be a bit much for some. I went with solid on one of my older cars, and probably wouldn't want them on a daily driver.

Some people love polly trans mounts and others hate them.

The people that love them have the Energy Suspension trans mount, which is softer than other polly mounts, but stiffer than stock.
