keeping the battery in place
For those of you still running the battery up front, how do you all keep the battery from moving around? mine doesnt stay put with the rubber bushing and bolt by itsself. ideas? i looked at getting a battery box from summit, but went out and measured it and the box would be too big

i actually took my tray out and ran a small ratchet strap under the tray, bolted the tray back down, and ratcheted it over the top of the battery. didnt budge one inch after that

Battery Relocation
there are a couple of pics in this thread that you can see the front lip of the tray on.
if you look through the clear cover in the first pic, you'll see it. in the second pic of an engine bay, it is covered by the wire loom. if you take your battery out, it will be really obvious if there is a lip or not.

My optima broke the front lip so I ran a heavy duty zip tie through one of the holes in the base of the battery, and then through a hole that was created when the lip broke off the battery tray. Then through a hole in the body of the car in front of the battery and just tied it down. It's a really good fix actually, the battery won't move at all. But I will be putting a light weight battery in with an aluminum hold down.
