Default hitting lr tire harder than rr on launch?

my car has been cutting some horrible 60 ft times ever since i went to a 2 step and a real tire (et drag) so i left them on the car the other day and gave it a quick hit on the street and my lr tire mark is twice as dark as the rr. its very noticable. any way of correcting this to even it out some and maybe get a decent 60 ft. ?

usually that means the posi cant take it. but you have a new dana60 right? i would look to either that or an anti roll bar.

The street may also be the reason. Get it to the track, thats the only real place to test n tune IMO.

Agree with Gator about the Posi taking a dump.

Could be weak posi unit, or rear shocks that aren't long enough. If the shocks don't allow enough travel they can "tie up" the rear suspension and cause tire unloading and axle tilt.

The reason is this:

When you accelerate the pinion is trying to climb the ring gear, the rotational force exerted from this shoves the left rear tire into the ground and tries to pick the right rear up off the ground and into the wheelwell, this is why a Anti-Roll bar is needed on a high hp stock suspension car in drag racing, this is also the reason why a car with no anti-roll bar will pick up the left front tire first, because the right rear is moving down.

Also why a non posi rear vehicle will spin the right rear tire.

ya its a new dana 60. not even 6 months old. i just ordered qa1's yesterday. this is a street car though and only gets to the track a couple times a year. maybe the spohn 25 mm solid sway bar will work? its half the price of the others is why im asking. like i said it doesnt get much track time but id like a fighting chance when i do go.

Mine does the same, but it pulls to the left..Like doin a burnout, it pulls to the left everytime..and the footprint is "fuller" on the pass. side..I've got a bag' in the passenger side, maybe I should put one in the drivers' side..Maybe you should put one in the drivers' side? A better swaybar should help too..Spohn has one that you dont have to weld, which is a problem if you DD the car..
