Default How many have had to cut floorboard for T/A?

Was under the car yesterday and noticed that the torque arm mount that's attached to the rear, has "clearanced" itself on the floor. It's probably 3" wide, 6" tall, and imbedded a good inch. I know i've seen pics with it notched, but have you used the stock carpet still? I want to sit the car over the tires a bit more. Never though stock ride height springs with 28" tires would have it hitting.

Mine in my CE was hitting and did the same thing.
I seen the pics also. I believe Madman posted them. Were going to do the same thing as him with the new cars. Were not running stock carpet. But I believe if you made it more contoured the carpet would form around it. It would just pull up out of the back seat bucket some.

i thougth it would take a car to be slammed to the ground to need that. my car is lowered with a big *** strange S60 and everything fits.

yeah, it's the weirdest thing and i think the reason my car is so weird when it launches(the rear doesn't move one bit). I odn't have any seats, just wondered how much it's been altered for those that have. Don't want to have to cut a BIG hole there.

My car is lower about 26.5 to 27 to the rear fender with street tires, and 27.5 on a 28" MT Slick.
I have Madman T/A and cut off the top set of hole and use the lower set.
It clears with plenty of room, more then my prior BMR T/A.
Madman stuff is awesome!

What arm do you have?

I had my 02 lowered about 1 1/2" and the T/A rubbed on a 9". If you decide to make a new tunnel, contour it somewhat like the stock shape and the carpet will form itself around the tunnel. It will pull the "under seat area" up some.

yup...hits like a bitch here....BMR extreme with S60. Its into it far enough that just letting it self clearance wasn't even an issue. I had to beat the **** out of it and eventually split the tunnel..

Madman torque arm here. Mine hits all that way down the tunnel and really bad in the same place as the picture above. I cut the tunnel and raised it up in the back. My car is sitting on the ground though.
