Default Bigger Is Better

Here's the deal. I have a set of 15x10 w/ 5" backspacing Bogarts. I have a 98 turbo formula. We will be cutting the bumpstops off, beating the wheel wells, rolling fenders, and whatever is necessary. I have a Moser 12 bolt. Not narrowed. BMR adj. LCAs.

What is the BIGGEST slick I can fit on there? Height and width wise..
Or MT ET streets??

Will a 30" fit?
How wide can I go?

Are you gonna cut the rear portion of the fender? It will be necessary with a 29in and up, possibly a 28in too (unless you're skillllled).

You might want to look into mini-tubbing and narrowing..

28" is the biggest I know of. I had to have my rear fenders re-radiused to get 29.5" and 30" tires under mine. Local guys are running 28" with only hammering and trimming inside. 10.5' X 30" pretty much fill the wheel wells up. Do you have a stock width rear end? My 15" X 10" wheels have 6" back spacing. 5" would stick the tires over an inch. the side wall "bulge" on10 1/2" tires stick out past my fenders about 1/4" with 10" X 15" 6" bs wheels.

Pic here is 28W + 15x9.75 Bogart with ~ 7.5 backspacing. Barely any of the outer fender was cut:

that looks good. I just want to go ahead and put tires on the rims, so we can see what we're working with atleast. But I don't want to get tires on there that are going to be too big..

What brand are yours PSJ? and what is the difference on a 28W.. compared to a 28

You're gonna need to narrow that rear, or get different rims with more bs. Otherwise their gonna stick out 70's style

Yeah what they said.

28W = 28x11.5 ET Drag SLICK, or 325 50 15 Drag Radial. Basically a bit wider than a 28x10.5 slick.

lay something flat (like a piece of wood) across the back of the wheel and get a tape measure and measure from the center lug area of the wheel out to the flat piece you layed across the back edge of the wheel.. if your wheels are 10 inches wide and you come up with 5 inches of depth hen you have 5in backspaced wheels..

you can measure the depth of the front or the back of the wheel.. if you measure the front just subtract it from the overall width of the wheel and you get the backspacing...

that kinda sounds confusing.. lol

my friend has 15 x 10 prostars with 7.5 in backspacing and runs 325/50/15's without a narrowed rear. bumpstop is shaved and some tapping from a BFH was all that was needed. An adjustable panhard bar will help to center things out.

Pretty much cut all the way until you can see coil springs on each side and cut and hammer away at the front of th efender also... might have to bust out a plasma cutter.....

You should be ok on the inside fender with 5" backspacing, the the fender of the car that will give you the trouble, I cant see you fitting that tire without jacking the rear up, or cutting the fenders, I had some 15x8.5 with 5" BS and they stuck out about a inch.

Good luck, pm me if you wanna sell those bogarts and they are Welded RT,s.
