Default what RPM do u shift at for a similar setup like mine?

As the title reads, what RPM do most people shift at with a setup similar to mine? All the way until redline? A little before? Any specific RPMs in each gear? I'm curious because I want to know how to optimize my times. Thanx!

Looks like you have a stock engine? When mine was stock (120,000 miles) it ran the quickest shifting it at 6000.

mods in sig. stock internals other than 1.6RRs.

also, if a stock LT1 pulls all the way to 6000, then why is redline at 5600?

Factory rev limiters are set to 5800. The red line on the tach? For warantee reasons GM would probably prefer you not go past that. Most bone stock F bodys actually shift about 5700 @ WOT. Your tach is likely fast also, about 100 at idle and 400 at 6000. Mine looked like it was shifting at 6400 when data logs showed 6000. When put this engine in I started shifting at 7200, the tach was never far from the peg. Pretty useless. I now shift at 7900, it's now a joke.
