Looks good!

I was just wondering, are custom made seat brackets the only option we have for mounting race seats similar to this style?

I believe I saw some adjustable mounts for the kirkey seats in Jegs specifically for their seats for like $40

I have seen those as well, but didn't know if they'd work with our floors?

Looks good. You must be a shorter guy though, I just had a set of kirkey prostreet drag seats mounted in my car (part # 41700) and they are mounted right on the floor and the rollbar, pulled back some. Look in the eastern section, there's a link to the pic's in a thread I started there.

I'm very comfortable in mine, the angle they are at is perfect and my head is farther away from the roof, and my knee's not plastered to the dash anymore like it always was with the stock seats all the way back and down.

But, anyone much smaller then me tries to drive the car, they will need a booster seat and blocks on the pedals LOL.

I wish somebody sold F-body specific mounts for the Kirkey seats. I'm going to end up spending $$$ having some fabricated. I don't know how to weld, so I will have to pay $80 an hour to have some made. I bet they soak me for 3-4 hours too.

I'd set the seat in the car and try sitting in there on the floor before you do anything, you might find the same thing I did, it's alot more comfortable sitting on the floor. Then you only have to fab/have fabbed the mount for the back of the seat to the rollbar (you have to mount these seats this way, they are not strong enough to just be mounted by the floor)

Sweet man........
That right there is the difference between the economy and the Pro seats....
The padding on the seat covers for the pro's is awsome.... no prob driving 45min- and HR.

Summit or Jegs always has them...

Exclamation If..

the seats are meant to be used in a race car, they must be bolted to the frame or cross braces. Bolting to the floorpan is a no no, if you want to conform to NHRA rules.....

how would you utilize the factory studs in that situation? seems like they would hurt a little in your *** while sitting in the seats.... (assuming the seats are mounted directly to the floor.
