disconnect the battery and let sit for 30 minutes. then unplug it (big yellow wire) under the console. remove the glove box. pull the dash back and remove the 4 nuts from that bracket holding the air bag in there. pull it out as one piece. i think this is right, its been awhile.

first off my car is a 94 camaro z28...
is this correct did it work???
where is this yellow wire???
did it throw any warning lights codes???
do u have to remove upper dash pad or anyhting or can it all be done from the bottom??? if i get this right u can do it without removing the dash it will slide through the glovebox opening???

Mod seems very ricey if you're not building a full-out race car. If you wanna go faster for cheap, buy a nitrous kit.

That and I have had some bad experiences with air bags myself.

I took mine out of my '96.Unhook the battery, then I took the top pad off, the glovebox out, unplugged the yellow wire, and loosened the dash on top, so I could pull the dash back. just be careful how far you pull it, or it will break the frame. you have to take out the 4 screws on top that holds it in, but I found it easier to take the 4 nuts off the bottom of the bag, and pull it out as 2 pieces.
