ET Drag Users
How much PSI do you run? what does it feel like up top?
I was running the 1/8th Friday night and got out of it b/c the car was all over the track, with 12psi. Dont know if i am a wimp or if i need to try something differnt. these are Draglites 15X8 with 26/10/15 ET Drags. They are not balanced, dont want to sling weights around but if this continues i will have to go to a DR instead...

Re: ET Drag Users
First of all get your wheel balanced. I run mine about 16psi and it's been 1.43 60s, and Angie runs her about 16psi and she been 1.38 60s. With a little more air in them they should be much better up top.

I agree with what the other guys say.One thing not mentioned double check your air gauge.Mine was reading 6 lbs low and screwed me up.Buy a good gauge and treat it like waterford crystal,if you drop it once it can trash it.Et Drag feel alot different then a radial on the big end, you will get used to it.

Yep, second them and you are a wimp. Not really but you asked. They are searching for the groove, if you launch fromt he groove and keep the car in it, the less it will wander from my experience. Gotta balance them, I am switching to clamp on weights, I just lost 1 1/5 oz from the right rear the last time I pushed my ET Streets. The Drags are looser, but stay in and make sure you got a good guage like T76 said. Good-luck.

Re: ET Drag Users
Balancing, got it!! What kind of weights are recommended? the kind that tape on or clip on, and i guess you are suggesting on the inside of the wheel for any weights...

Re: ET Drag Users
Definately get them balanced.
I personally take my wheels in and just tell them to put the weights where they need to be. I think the last person I saw use stick-on weights got them all scraped off by the caliper.
I used hammer-on weights and put them on both sides of the wheels if they were needed.

Re: ET Drag Users
Make SURE u run them hard one or 2 times without weights for a few street blasts first...
Then balance them using hammer on weights.
I run tubes,IMO they allow me to keep the tire psi at 12lbs and my car is ROCK stable down the track.
We have great hook here in PA,NJ but if I ran 16lbs on my car it would BLOW THE SLICKS AWAY...
I cant hook unless there at 12 to 13 HOT..
