competition engineering shock settings?
they have 30/70 40/60 and 50/50 written on the box, and XF, X, R on the box. Does 30/70 = XF..... 40/60 = X..... and 50/50 = R??????
Just put them on and I want to make sure I got them on 50/50. I have them set with the notch right above the R. Is that where it needs to be for the 50/50 setting?
Thanks

Competition engineering 3 way shocks use the following settings:
FRONT SHOCKS
R 60/40
F 80/20
XF 90/10
REAR SHOCKS
R 50/50
F 40/60
XF 30/70
I had best results with 50/50
You push the shock all the way down and turn it around a few times pressed all the way down, then stop it on "R" and without turning it pull it straight up, that will be 50/50

Agreed. R is what you want. Here's a question for you: Since all you do to adjust these is compress them, turn them a few times and stop on the mark you want and extend----could you adjust them while they are still mounted to the car?? Just unbolt them from the rearend, move the body up untill they stop, and turn. When you get to your new setting; pull it back down.
Seems like it would be the same to me. That would be a hell of a lot easier at the track.

If you could see the mark and read the setting on the shock, then yes you could unbolt them from the bottom and adjust them.
