Thumbs up Installed Moroso Oil Pan...pics within

Installed the moroso replacement oil pan today....really nicely engineered piece IMHO...

1. Pickup is moved to the back of the oil pan
2. Windage tray now covers the WHOLE rotating assembly
3. The pan is much lighter than the stocker but has a nice thick flange.

New windage tray installed

Windage Tray comparison (stock held up next to installed moroso one

Definitely a nice oil pan, the pan has excellent baffling with a trap door that lets oil run to the back of the pan but doesn't allow the oil to run back forward. I will be running one of these when I put my motor back together.

Fireball, when did you purchase the pan? I ask this because a lot of the newer ones have had issues on the flange. Double check where the oil goes in and out (the 2 holes/ports) as mine had some dips in that area. That will cause a oil pressure issue and I sure hate to see you blow up a motor. I took mine to work and had it milled down. The "dips" were like .035" deep.

I'll take a look when I assemble my new motor, but I didn't notice anything like that

Yeah, you won't notice it if you're not paying attention, but it was definitely there on mine. .035" isn't much to the eye, but I put a depth gauge on it and sure enough. It's a smooth "dip", not a cut or anything like that. An inverted belly? LOL Can't figure out a way to explain it. Just a heads up for you.
