Belt Part #
I deleted the PS pump, and the only thing I have now is the alt, ASP underdrive pulley, water pump, and tensioner....does anyone have the part # for the short belt I need to run this?

The 6 in the number stands for 6 rib, and the last three numbers are the belt length, 510 = 51" I run a 547 which is 54 1/4, most of the numbers work that way. If you want a goodyear belt I think it would be a 4060510 or something close to that.

I wouldn't run the belt on the alternator pulley it is smooth and a lot of people I know toss belts that way. It happened to me that way also.
The problem is you run the belt over the water pump and alternator pulley with nothing to center the belt as it travels till it hits the alternator, add 6000 rpm and that belt is having a hard time staying centered over that distance.
Here is a pic of mine.
This is how I did mine now.
I AM USING A STOCK CRANK PULLEY.
Use a napa auto belt, last numbers ending in 547 (it's 54 1/4" long)
Autozone tensioner 6 ribbed 70mm pulley part number 231015.
Place the 6 ribbed pulley where the alternator pulley used to be and place a 1/8th" washer behind it, lines up perfect.
Grind the alternator mounting bolts slightly, took about 1/4" off each bolt where the belt runs under/over it.
That's it, ran my motor at high rpm several times and worked perfect.
The belt lines up perfect, nothing rubs, the belt doesn't toss and that length belt is perfect, the tensioner marks line up the same as the factory belt, dead center on the second mark.

Chris, I don't think your problem is with the alternator pulley, but your stock crank pulley. I have a SLP 25% underdrive pulley with the belt routed onto the alternator pulley, and I launch my car off a 4000 foot brake, and shift at 6450. I have never thrown the belt.

I got the belt that was listed first....BUT Chris your set up is what I will be running once I get an electric water pump...you can actualy use your stock tensioner and cut a piece off of it and put it where your tensioner is now.......thank you guys very much for your help....hopefully I can get a front end alignment today and get her tuned...."new BMR K-member" and some weight reductions.

If you're going with a electric water pump why not just run the adjustable alternator bracket, it onlt runs one short belt to the crank and alternator.

My tensioner is in the stock location, only difference in my set up is I run a ribbed pulley instead of the smooth one on the alternator pulley.
