New best 7.69 @ 179!!!!! ok so its not ls1 powered but its still fast...

took the pontiac out to virginia motorsports park saturday to do some testing. i think we got all of our problems straight. ran 4 7.74's in a row. played with it some more and ended up with a 7.69@ 179 w/ a 1.12 60ft. the 60 is still a little slow. we're shooting for a 1.09. not bad at all for the adjusted altitude reading close to 2000 ft on the weather station. do i hear 7.50's?

565 cu in. big block w/ 1 carb n/a
Motor dynoed 1087 before the vaccum pump.
plans include sheetmetal intake with 2 carbs and a dry sump.
possibly a 2 stage fogger system with plates under each carb. Talk about expensive mods...

Course it ain' LS1 powered either, but ya never know, if a true outlaw class ever opened up, we may shove something LT or LS based in it to take everyone's money.

Tony thats basicly what my firebird looks like except with a different body. :p
We might do a little catching up. Looking into sonny's new hemi head chevy motor. also lookin at a sonny 632 that went a 7.21 this past weekend all motor. There also lookin at the hemi motor.
these cars are sure fun to . Just dont do no sudden moves

weekly i just bracket race top et/super pro but at ihra events i'll be running top sportsman. Gonna have to spray her to get into a couple top sportsman events though. nhra will be 9.90 super gas @176.....lol.
I love the speed of this car but my footbrake nova is more fun to drive.

My Dad is going to run Super Comp 8.90 @ 200. It is a 1977 Chevelle 588 Blown and injected on alchohol.
Madman, Dad and myself are trying to get the bugs worked out.
I love footbrake also. You have to drill the tree and drive the top end.
