Default N/A vs FI

I´m just going thru this in my head

I´ve seen alot of 9,10,11 seconda N/A cars with 355-383

But the FI cars with same Cid are´t running anything better really

So is the suspension factor so hard to get right with so much power to use it?

There's a lot more to making a car go fast on a track than horsepower... it really comes down to different specific setups for each individual car. What works for one guy won't necessarily (and most of the time will not) work for the others.

No???

Hehe. Too general of a question and answer. NA 10 second combos tend to be lighter and better set up for racing, 10 second FI guys might be full weight and don't care as much as to how the car does... Lot of different folks with different approaches.

Right on. Full weight, all options, 2600 stall, idles like stock, zero suspension modifications, runs mid tens.

A lot of guys that make so much power don't worry too much about 60 ft. They just want the car to leave without blowing the tires off then they pour on the steam.

I watched steve shorts car run you see the other guys get out on him then they get passed on the big end by like 10 mph.

It's pretty amazing to see a car get on and off the gas and still run 190+ mph.

A lot of the FI guys are only running 3.08 - 3.50 gears.

Yes it´s all about using what you have

FI cars get there times from the 1/8 marker, but those who get good 60' get killer times

It´s just strange to see a 1sec diffrence from a DD N/A to a DD FI car

I´m wondering how low can you go in the 60'
