Default so i need a little help.... tires....

well i just got my new set up and going cam only + 100shot

im on mt et drag 28's and with only the 100 shot im blowing through the converter so bad that im only able to trap 130 and im hitting the 7k re limiter with the 28's and 4.10's

well my 28's are done and need to order new tires and im not sure what i should do....

less gear, tighter stall and 28's again for the 150 shot or maybe 200 so say 136 or

same gear, same stall and go to some 30's to get that mph....

id like to keep the stall and gear so i can still run n/a if i want and not hurt my times to much...

so pretty much what do u guys think i should do?

car sixty foots 1.46 on the 28's right now on motor FWIW!

thanks
Cameron

Yeah man, don't spray 200 on that stock bottom unless you're ready to build, let alone 150! I'd go with the 30s if you don't mind cutting the car up and keep that gear. If not, tighten up the converter first and see what it does before you spend money on gearswaps.

haha im not worried about my bottom end one bit its not my dd and if blows it blows!

im thinking of switching to 3.90's and sticking with 28's and it should gain me the 5 mph i need

Tighter stall definitely, and 3.73s for good measure if you plan on 9s. If you don't mind fitting some 30s on your car do that because it will help you hook better too and keep the 4.10s

Your converter must be pretty loose, I was going 133.9mph and still have rpm left on 28's. If you go less gear and keep the same converter it will still be pretty loose I would think.

Do 30" tires even fit on a camaro? Must look like super swampers on there, the same size tires are on my Jeep.

do a tighter stall more gear is going to load it more and make it go through the converter more...same with a taller tire...those are bandaids...
