I'm running a custom Fuddle 8" in the Camaro, stalls to around 4600 and has run the numbers in my sig (1.38 on spray, and 1.48 on motor back to back) @ 3300 raceweight.

thanks John. Do you blow through it on the gas or is that what it flashes to on the gas?

I'm guessing it's flashing to around 5500 on a 150 shot, and I don't think it's blowing through the converter. I ran low bottle pressure (900psi) and had it been more like 1100 I would have (I think) ran more mph. I've only sprayed the car about three times myself.

thanks everyone for the help. I just want to get a good converter the first time. I know the Fuddle has alot better warranty so that goes along way towards my decision.

I'm gonna be honest, when it comes to a converter, you get what you pay for. if it's 1/2 the price, there's a reason for that.

Look up Ultimate Converter Concepts. Give Lenny a call and I'm sure that he can set you strait about what's what, and what will get you going as fast as you can be.

Yep, yet another reason my car has a COAN in it and will get a Neil Chance stall when the motor gets built more.

Do a search, lots and lots of threads on them and their stalls.

Exactly. There's a reason that some converters are cheap and others are expensive, and it's now just because the company thinks they are selling gold. Personally I am a Ultimate Converter guy, granted his stuff aren't quite at the level of a bolt-together chance converter, but they are a damn good piece of equipment. Local to me as well.

a cheap converter is only a good deal until it blows up and takes your tranny out with it. if your looking for places to skimp a verter wouldn't be one of them. fwiw i went from a fuddle 3600 to a vig 3600 and picked up 2 mph in the same weather conditions with a near identical 60'
