Default Street driving a stripper?

Looking to gut the car here soon, and looking to see who street drives theirs stipped out...

My plans are:

- remove carpet
- remove console
- remove radio
- remove A/C (keeping heater)
- remove rear seats and belts

-- has anyone removed their headliner? Will T-tops still seal?
-- how do ya'll go about sealing holes in the floor pan (i.e. from rear seat belts, seat brackets, etc.) ?

Any other suggestions?

Also, car will be getting dumped TD's as well as a stalled TH-350, so driveability is a very loose phrase for me.

I daily drove my old Z28 for about three months with only the drivers seat and dash. Yes the tops will still seal and you can use some RTV sealant on the holes.

lol not going that far...but I kept the radio and console, everything else is gone with a stalled TH-400 so i'm in the same boat you are. I have a feeling its going to be VERY loud.

I drive mine on the street all of the time. No rear seats or belts, No heat, no A/C, no power steering, no bumper supports, electric water pump with no thermostat, 8lb lightweight carpet with no padding, and slicks and skinnies. And I have dumped mufflers right off the headers. It is still streetable and I have never had a problem.

I covered the seat, seatbelt & rubber-plugged holes with small aluminum panels that I sealed with silicone and riveted on.

I like carpet even if it's the lightweight stuff.

I haven't had a lot of those things in my car since I got it in 98, but one thing I have to keep is the radio, driving a car all over even when it is fast, sucks without some music to cruise to.

I couldn't hear my radio if I wanted to once the new motor went in, so the radio went away.

Now with all the dash padding and everythign off, it's really loud. But, with a helmet and earplugs in, it's doesn't really matter

Opinions vary, but I always thought strippers looked better with the carpet shaved.

I always drove with the short belt and removed the AC belt. Never listend to the radio neither. Back seat is pointless
