STB useless on a straightline car?
Wondering how many of u fellas are running a STB on your car. Is it even very helpful. Trying to decide whether I should sell mine to fund something more beneficial on my car.

That bar won't really help a drag car. to really stiffen the front of the chassis the right way, you have to tie it to something else that is solid, hooking to flexible parts together doesn't really stiffen it, but running a bar off the cage thru the firewall to the shock towers, then to the frame like you will see on alot of cars, does alot. Adding a motor plate across the front of the chassis also does a good amount for the rigidity of the front 1/2 of the car.
If you are building a drag car and were looking at buying a strut tower brace, don't waste your $, if you are building a drag car and already have one,l try the car with it on, then take it off for a pass, change nothing else and you'll see for yourself.

the weight was the only thing I would want to take off the front. I have one, but don't notice anything with it on or off- It is kind of a waste of money if you don't have one.
Since you already have one, what would a used one even sell for- maybe enough for some gas.
