Wife's SS baseline runs - US 41 today.
I finally talked my wife into taking her mostly stock 2000 SS convert. to the Dragstrip today to see what it would run. Actually, I figured if she liked it, it would be easier to buy heads/cam/LT for my car once she got the "bug". After a short rainfall, I explained to her how to clean off the tires and how to stage and when to go. She lined up against a 2001 Firebird WS6 M6 (she has a A4). The Ws6 has 4:10 gears and LT headers. She got the guy off the line - a .7 vs. .9. unfortunately he pulled it off at the very end - his: 13.5 @ 108 to her 13.8 @ 102. She had a few more runs - including a wicked sounding Z06 - which ran against a bright yellow turbo LS1 Vette. In all she had a blast.
The only thing that sucks is now I want to tear my motor apart REALLY bad.

Hey XfiveLiter, is your Camaro Dark blue? I saw you were posting some pretty good times. My wife is going to keep hers mostly stock - maybe a stall.
BTW, what kind of exhaust did that Z06 have? Nice car, but he never hooked good.
I won't take mine back to the track until I have some good rubber. It ran a 13.2 bone stock, but spins ALL through 2nd every time.....damn F1's, but I ran it just like I drive it on the street.

Who are your friends with the VETTES ?
Mad Max, yes, my car is blue. The ZO6 in question has a Loudmouth w/random tech cats. On his last pass he managed a 1.62 short time and ran 11.66.
Get yourself a converter and some Nittos, that should get that heavy 'vert into the 12s

XfiveLiter, if I recall you had DR on back and skinnies up front. I like to run mine at the track like it runs on the street. There were a few other nice running cars there that day too. I won't go back until I have my heads/cam/LT on my car. My wife just wanted to baseline hers. I think we may evenyually go with a mild converter and a 75 shot................your only mods are a converter, gears and a cam? BTW, just wondering, how much was it for the turbo system on the Vette?
