Default 408, Pat G cam, AFR 225s, FAST90, Th350, 9''

Well as you can see in my sig, my car is supposed to have a 4l80e in it. Well I think I got a bad converter and I've been stuck for quite awhile. My tuner graciously lent the TH350 (3500 TCI stall) out of his car to me so that I could make some passes this weekend (Last weekend the track is open here). Here's a short list of mods:
-Iron 408
-AFR 225s
-Pat G Nitrous grind (244/255 621/595 114+2)
-ARH longtubes and Y with dual cutouts
-SLP dual dual
-Vengeance Ported FAST90 w/ New Era 91 mm TB
-ASP udp
-Thunder Racing ported MAF ends
-Yella Terra Lightweights (1.7)

Obviously it's not a dyno queen with the Th350 and 9'', and the Nitrous grind isn't helping the N/A numbers, but I'm not too worried about it. I figured the car would be somewhat of a dog from a roll with the matic compared to the 6 speed and boy was I wrong. The car has no problem spinning the tires in any gear.

I'll be posting another vid in the coming months with my direct port setup. Just gotta put the last few pieces together

This is the only pull made with the cutouts open. 27* of timing, solid 12.9-13.1 AFR all the way through. When my camera guy zooms in, you can compare the numbers and see how much the y-pipe and SLP catback are holding me back. Looks like I'm going back to true duals

Thanks man, I'm hoping for a 10 second slip tomorrow. Should be around 3650 race weight with me in it. I'll post up results with video tomorrow.

Well fellas, brought home my 10 second slip. Went a lot faster than I expected too! Race weight was 3680ish with me in it. No skinnies today though, thought I was going to be able to get some and ended up not able to. Anyways...

60': 1.544
330': 4.384
1/8: 6.779 @ 102.63
1000': 8.849
1/4: 10.604 @ 127.96

Also went 10.89 (shitty burnout, spinning tires), 10.76 (didn't get up on the converter as much as I wanted to), and a 10.66, all three passes trapped 128.xx. Great way to end the season IMHO!

I'll post up the vid shortly, have to upload the vid from my buddies camera.

Great passes Alex. I told you a long time ago to put an auto in the car and see what it would really do. Jessie's converter and tranny seem to be a perfect match for your car.

3.89 gears, I was hitting my shift light going through the traps too. I'll be going with 3.50-3.55s next season though as I'll be spraying the bejesus out of it.

Yep you called it Brian. I was hesitant to do it at first but I don't really miss it at all. I'm in the process of getting the 4l80e in it though, I've got to have overdrive! My 4l80 stall is a 4k and it's transbraked as well.

Nice to see you achieved your goals and then some. While high dyno numbers are nice, the low ETs are much more satisfying because they show the sum of your parts working in harmony together. Can't wait to see your nitrous numbers as that's where your new cam will really shine.

I agree 100%, but now I'm ready to hit her with a big shot and go some 9s next spring!

Oh and just a little side note, everyone loves the way the cam you specced for me idles, it's absolutely awesome. I love the way it performs a lot more, but the idle is great. I tell everyone, "That's Patrick G talkin' to ya".

FYI, I have a very close setup, I have a bigger (not ness better) cam, stock rockers, Mamo ported FAST, Eldebrock LT headers @ a 12" Moser w/ 3.73. TH400

I put down similar dyno #, I'll have to look @ the graphs.

The car ran a 10.43@129, 1.48. This is with a nitrous convertor, & pistons/ring setup. With a race weight of 3520. You should achieve similar results. I'm interested in your track times, for comparison.

God I'd love for my race weight to be 3520. You cut a hell of a lot better 60' foot than I did too. How big is your converter?

Next spring I'll have the 4l80e swap done (4k stall and transbrake) and I'm going to hit it with a big progressive direct port shot.

Nice numbers!! Just for comparison sake - my car went 10.67 on motor (with a nitrous convertor) and 9.53 on a 200 shot. 3675# raceweight and TH400...
