Default Speed Inc. LS2 GTO/APS results

We seen some great results from an Ls2 GTO with an APS kit we finished tuning today. We helped this customer with the build, but he did all the installs himself.

6 speed w/ Spec 3+ clutch

stock short
stock unported heads w/ Patriot Golds
stock unported intake and throttle body
our TU1 225/225 cam
crush bent 3" exhaust into a set of Magnaflow mufflers
our first twin intank 255 pump setup along w/ stock rails and an Aeromotive Reg.

2 bar w/ HP Tuners


7.5 psi / 93 octane

616 rwhp
565 rwtq

13.3 psi / 100 octane

773 rwhp
702 rwtq


16 degress @ peak TQ

18 degrees @ peak HP

Very stout numbers for a bone stock motor. Bet it's a blast to drive.

I'm sure the customer will enjoy the car, but it raining here which is keeping us off the road for any testing today.

Hey I am hoping to see 773rwhp+ with mine Anyway are you planning on putting another 255 intank in my car with the other one? Btw this is matt with the car that is going on holding the record for most problems and longest time in your shop lol.

Great numbers! The LS2 can take a good amount of abuse with the correct tune. Ive done many Procharged LS2's in the 700+ RWHP range with no issues.

yes..more power then we would suggest, but the customer wanted to push it and we did so

I do agree with a proper tune these Ls2 have proven to live with some big #'s.

This might be a dump question but is there any numbers at like 10psi on 93? I just wonder why the jump from 7.5 to 13.3?

We did have some #'s in between, but did not document them. The customer just wanted base and around 12ish for high boost.
