Default 916RWHP Straight Pump Gas..No Meth!!!

Remember this car?

We just got done putting it back together and did some tuning. We changed over to an A&A Bracket and belt slip was GONE. Look how solid boost is on the graph. This is on STRAIGHT pump as NO METH!!!

It made 916 in a later pull. I have video of a 904 pull. I will post it up shortly.

Holy wow sick numbers.

But Fran isnt 18psi too much for pump gas??

Looks like the power is still rising why didnt you take it to 7000+rpm??

well that explains the power. lol.

car is beautiful. 18psi does seem kind of high for pump gas. What kind of timing is it seeing?

Not all boost is created equal. Although for this car to hit 18lbs more than likely requires quite a bit of CFM. Dont forget boost is a byproduct of intake restriction. One car may be able to only get 8lbs of boost before detonation while the next my be able to get 15-20. Compression, port/chamber design, and cam specs play a role as a whole. GMHTP had a GREAT writeup to try and simplify boost in there latest issue i believe.

I was at the shop while this car was getting tuned. This car sounds amazing in person. It has a F1C on it. The timing wasn't to high either so with meth or race gas there power to be picked up. This Shop does great work and the dyno tuner knows his stuff so even at 900+RWHP on pump id say its a pretty safe tune.

Very nice. 18lbs does not seem high on a 8.8:1 compression engine with conservative timing.
