Default EPS 226/234 Cam and TEA/TFS Cylinder Head Results: 473RWHP/427RWTQ

A couple of weeks ago I had a customer bring his car into me for tuning after installing some new parts on his 2003 Z06.

Modifications were as follows:

EPS 226/234 113 Cam
TEA/TFS 215 Heads
FAST 92 Intake
Nick Williams Throttle Body
VaraRam Air Intake
LG Pro Long Tube Headers
Borla Mufflers
ASP Underdrive Pulley
EPS Tuning

Results of these modifications were that with the stock 70,000 mile 5.7L LS6 shortblock, the Z06 made 473 Rear Wheel Horsepower and 427 Rear Wheel Torque. This car drives like stock and has crazy low end torque. This is a good example of making good power 'under the curve', retaining good street manners, and having an engine that starts pulling at a very early RPM. The combination of the 226/234 Cam and the TEA/TFS 215 Heads makes for a powerful combination that is nice on the street.

Dang Geoff...that's a lot of power with such a small cam...I thought it took upper 230's duration to make that much power

Congrats

Do you have a graph that shows the torque? Would like to see how that looks. What compression?

Very nice. Those EPS cams you've got are really something. That + the TFS heads make for a great combo. I've been wanting to see what a BIG EPS cam would do...

One cool thing about it is I bet that valvetrain is DEAD quiet. I've installed a few of Geoff's 226/234 cams, and the valvetrain noise was completely like stock.

Does the car have YT rockers on it or stock?
