Finally got my AS H/C 383 Stroker Tuned/Dynoed
I finally got my car Tuned and Dynoed. BIG thanks to Carmen at the Vette Doctors for opening up on a Saturday to accomidate me ... Anyway, the car was running soo rich before I got there that it threw a code. The A/F was 11.1 pretty much across the board. I little lower in the middle rpm's and would not idle. Well it idles great now and does not bellow out black smoke from being so rich. The pretune numbers were in the high 390's and the car ran 10.98@121.81 the last time at the track. Well it put down 456.3rwhp and 430.6rwtq SEA Corrcted. The uncorrected numbers were over 490rwhp. This in an A4 car.The A/F was at 12.5 across the board for the most part. I can not wait to getthis thing to the track now... It made 400 torque at 3300-6500 rpm. Wonder what it may have pulled with a 10 bolt 3.23 gears, short belt and true duals... Hummm??? BTW he only charges $299.00 for a dyno tune....

Thanks for all the compliments...
Jay from Absolute Speed did up the heads. They flow 320cfm@.600. They are pretty much in spec with his numbers listed on his site. He said it did flow 290cfm with the LS6 intake.
I am very anxious to see how she traps. The top end pull is awsome. It starts right up with a turn of the key and idles beautifully at 1000 rpm. I was extremely happy with Carmen at the Vette Doctors. He took his time and worked on it the majority of the day to get it just right. I highly recommend him.
As far as the motor goes, I had a local shop torque hone the block and I did the rest. I didn't have to clearance anything with the 4.00" crank. I bought the LS1/LS6 book and borrrowed a GM Service manual
to reference for all the specs. I took my time triple check everything and saved a bunch of money. It was awsome to build it and see it perform as it did. It is a sence of accomplishment that is hard to explain.

Ever since I built it is has felt really flat up top. I changed injectors from 28# injectors to 30# SVO's when I did the build. I sent the pcm to Ed Wright and the mail order tune got really out of wack and the car ran really rich. He has always had me pretty close. He does a great job for someone not having the actual car there to tune from. If you have a bolt on package then the mailorder tune is great. Anything bigger especially with new injectors you should get it properly tuned on a dyno.

Jeremy, I see you are in Long Island. We tore up one of your streets in the car yesterday. Carmen went to some road leading to a bridge to make sure it would shift before the limiter. We put on my ET Drags because he wanted to test the 1-2 shift after the tuning. Well he nailed it and it pulled both front wheels on the street. You could feel them hit the ground. He looked at me and I looked at him in total shock. He said he wasn't ready for that. If anyone doesn't believe me, they can call him...
It may be a while before I get to race it but believe me I will post it... I want to try and hit MIR in the near future...
