Default Flowtech headers dyno numbers!

Dynoed the Z today. my base line horsepower was 340. After tuning i dynoed 368.9! I was satisfied with the headers. And they only cost me $500 bucks.

Nice numbers. I assume they are coated for $500. Should be in dyno section though

Thumbs up

And this was with the Flowtech Y-pipe as well?
What were the gains before tuning if you happened to make any pulls that way?

Nice results.

Is that 368 with headers and tuning? I'm assuming the 340 was without headers correct?

What about torque before/after? If you can, you should post your dyno sheet.

One cat took the place of the transmission bracket, and the other one is in the bend that angles down. We did have to dent the floorboard though. No Biggie, its a racecar not a showcar! Ill post pics and dyno sheet in a few days.

We had a customer drop a 02 Z06 motor in his Fbody. Everything was stock except a lid(yeah even the catback and manifolds)and made 346rhwp added a RMS ported TB and it made 358rwhp. Added Jet Hots, off road ypipe made 378rwhp then opened the cutout 385rwhp. Nice little gain just by doing the exhaust.

Oh yeah, he took the belt off for a run and it made 400rhwp.

Check with www.southeastperformance.com on those Flowtech headers. They have a monthly special going on. Y pipes included with coating.

nice gains, those headers suck as far as durability is concerned and quality. I wonder why a few speed shops refuse to sell them??????????? Not worth the install if you ask me regardless of the gains.

I just put a set in my car and I am quite happy with their quality and fit. They have slightly thinner flanges and tubes than Hooker but they cost $250 less - not just a few bucks. The only other headers in this price range are Pacesetters and I have not seen any evidence that they are any better.

I will let everyone know in a year or so about the durability but I never saw any serious complaints about them before I bought and I followed LT's pretty closely for probably a year on multiple boards.

Steve
