High Mile guys come in....
Got my car retuned. Car makes 321.12 hp at about 5250 rpm and 324.49 peak tq from 4100 to about 5100rpm. Steady climb until then. Car seem s a little lower than most A4s, granted the ones i compared them to have udp and ls6 intake with 3.23 gears and no stall. Tq is about 15-20 lower than what i saw. Car has 149k miles, with routine maintenance done on time or early. Thoughts???

mine with the ls1 intake and 2.73s with just ebay headers headers and stock 5.3 heads made 331/340 on a 100 degree day. it made the same horsepower with a 3.73 and an ls6 intake tuned for the bottle on a 110 degree day my car has 193k miles on the bone stock bottom end and it still runs perfectly. at the power it made its best mph was 109 wheelhopping with a 2.0 60ft because i couldnt be bothered to take the 18in wheels and street tires off lol

it was 110 degrees out the dyno room was almost unbearabley hot and we pulled timing and i have a theory about 3.73s dyno'ing less but im not gonna go claiming that till i see some proof. but it made the same power but its way more pissed off in the mid to top end on the bottle we stuck 100 pills in it and where we shut the pull down due to know window switch it made 96 (i think) rwhp more at peak and under peak in the mid range are it picked up 105-115 in some areas the extra compression from the 5.3 heads are very noticeable lol. we didnt get a torque reading due to some screwy sensor's but i dont see why it wouldnt have picked up 130 rwtq.
but yes kinglt-1 is correct i had a few things working against me getting tuned for the bottle that day but it runs hard on the street on motor i assure you lol but its got 193k miles on this ole wore out first car and its one of the faster cars in my area still. im excited to see how itll do when it finally get a cam and stall i figure itll go 125mph or so on the little pills

nothing wrong with those numbers at all. my old ls1 had 105,000 miles and made 348 WHP cam only. it also ran consistant 11.90s @ 114-115 mph at around 3460 race weight. in other words, go rip!

Converter was locked for all three pulls. I had just came off the highway from a solid 2 hr drive, not sure how much the excess heat would affect the outcome. I gave her a brief cool dwon, but it didnt help too much. Tuner said it could be a little low due to mileage on the valve springs.

Pretty standard I would say.
My car made 319 with Full exhaust and a lid on a Dynojet.
Locking the converter bridges the gap in dyno numbers when comparing a factory converter to an aftermarket.
Only difference that will effect power output is an aftermarket 9.5" will be lighter than a factory converter

I have 135XXX on mine and laid down 341hp with 343tq with just LS6 intake, long tubes, full exhaust and lid. My car has been on the dyno approx 10 times before me and has had the **** sprayed out of it prior to me owning it.I have a Harris Speed Works set up for it now but will probably just sell it.I am looking to get 500 on motor.
Thanks,
Chris

When I got mine dyno'd (m6) I did 318 and 335tq. That was before LT's though. At the time it had around 160,xxx miles on it. I still need to get a tune and then I can get some new numbers.
Every GM 5.7 I have ever owned has had a bulletproof motor in it. On top of that they were all high mileage. L98 in a 91 GTA that had like 190,xxx miles on it. Ran great, good oil pressure everything. Also had an old RS with a 5.0 that ran great. Buddy had an LT1 with 180,xxx on it ran fine. My dad used to have a Vortec 5.7 in a Z71 with high mileage ran great. What i've seen more than anything is the auto transmissions going out. Kinda what made me get a M6 this go around. Sometimes I wish I had an auto, but a LS1 with a standard isn't like having a truck with one. You really don't shift that much in comparison.

I think today I'm at ~199,600. Should pass 200k in less than a week. Runs good but earned 'most exhaust smoke on the dyno' last time I went. Normal driving I don't notice smoke. Probably past due for rings.
